"Salute the Irish!" on 3/17/06 honored Therese “Terry” Hennessy with the “Making a Difference for Women Award.”
This fundraiser was dedicated to the Jeannette Prandi Children’s Center. The Jeannette Prandi Children's Center is our permanent project. A major portion of all of our fund-raising efforts support this child-friendly, state of the art forensic interview center for sexually abused children.
Our two additional beneficiaries are the Pickleweed Park Community Center, and the Marilyn's Fund and the Penny Jay Fund for breast cancer victims. Pickleweed Park Community Center in San Rafael has gone through a major renovation. Our donation from this event helped to sponsor an area where children can improve their educational skills through tutoring programs, library services and technology access. The Marilyn Fund provides up to $300 for breast cancer victims to pay for wigs, prostheses and examinations. The Penny Jay Fund provides free mammograms.
