SAN RAFAEL, Ca September 10, 2008 — Soroptimist International of Marin County, one of two Soroptimist Clubs in Marin, announces that application forms for the previously announced Violet Richardson Award and Women’s Opportunity Award are now on-line at www.marinsoroptimist.org/Awards/awards.html. SAN RAFAEL, Ca May 7, 2008 — Two Marin women stole the awards at Soroptimist International regional conference. Hannah Njuguna and Jessica Assaf claimed top honors at the Soroptimist International Founder Region Conference held in San Ramon last Sunday May 4. Nearly 400 women attending the conference cheered them on. Both Njuguna and Assaf were selected as Soroptimist International of Marin County’s (SIMC) Club level winners in January by a panel of Marin community leaders.

October 6, 2004 -- The Jeannette Prandi Children’s Center was the location for a special presentation by Deborah Santana, our 2004 "Women of Distinction" Award winner, author, Vice President and COO of the Santana Band, and Vice President of the Milagro Foundation. Deborah Santana spoke on the Santana Family belief that they are here to make the world a better place by using their art to spread love and joy.
